Woolsthorpe and the Grantham Canal, 1st October 2017
Elaine led nineteen ramblers on a muddy six-mile walk starting from Woolsthorpe Wharf
near the Dirty Duck pub. The route, making use of sections of the Viking Way, was along the Grantham Canal to Longmoor Bridge, then via Longmoor Lane and Sewstern Lane to a coffee stop in the churchyard in Muston. The finish was along
the Grantham Canal and past major restoration work on the Woolsthorpe Flight locks
being undertaken by the Grantham Canal Society. A welcome beer at the finish was
enjoyed at the Dirty Duck!
