Skylarks Nature Reserve, 2nd July 2024

Starting at the car park on Adbolton Lane, Angela led nine walkers on a 3.8 mile walk through the Skylarks Nature Reserve, round the top of the Water Sports Centre rowing lake and into the Meadow Nature Reserve.  After returning by the lake and then past the Canoe Polo lake, we followed the route of the Polser Brook almost to the A52 before returning to the start.

Interestingly, the Polser Brook has been proposed as an alternative route for bringing the Grantham Canal near Brassingfield under A52 to connect with the Trent; see https://www.granthamcanal.org/trent-link/ .
