... took 11 of us from Hathersage through North Lees and up to and along the top of Stanage Edge to the gritstone feature of Crow Chin, returning initially on a lower path before climbing back up to the top of the Edge via Long Causeway (a medieval packhorse road or possibly an old Roman road) and over to Burbage Bridge and then Higger Tor. The weather was good but very windy, dangerously so on top. Interestingly? more electricity was generated on Sunday by wind than coal - a sign of the times!
