Kinoulton, Christmas Lunch, December 13th 2015

An excellent walk today, very gloomy (the weather that is) but the rain held off until the afternoon.  Not a good day for photography, but Bill managed to do a much better job than me so no apologies for showing more images than usual below - most of them Bill's.

We were briefed at the start at the Nevile Arms by Sue (with the antler fascinator) ...
...  before trotting off along the canal ...

... for mulled wine and mince pies at Hickling Basin.

The walk back took us across the Smite towards Colston Bassett  ...
... before turning back across fields back to Kinoulton. Then lunch at the Nevile Arms, ...

... a quiz made up by Dave and Sue and, inspired by Grantham Ramblers' Church Steeple Quiz, a Village Signs Quiz which is reproduced elsewhere.

It's glad to see Rab and Jan back after their lazy holiday and thanks everyone for your contributions to a successful day, including the staff at the Nevile Arms who provided an excellent meal.
