We enjoyed beautiful undulating countryside in good weather. Coffee was taken near Blaston and lunch around Halaton Village Cross and the Buttercross. This is the focus for the annual bottle kicking contest between Hallerton and Medbourne held annually on Easter Monday. This contest is like rugby and involves the best of three in kicking a small barrel across the stream between the villages.
