Retford and Babworth, Pilgrim Fathers' Walk, 8th July 2018

Phil led nine ramblers on a nine-mile walk from Retford crossing the River Idle and following the Chesterfield Canal.
Coffee was taken at Botttom Forest Lock and lunch at All Saints Church at Babworth.  This church is famous as the community start point for the Pilgrim Fathers who left Nottinghamshire for Holland before sailing from Plymouth to the New World in 1620.  The temperature as very hot but the group cooled off with cold beers at Wetherspoons at the finish.

Thanks Steve for the photos and text.
